This is the website for History 5261/7261: Black Detroit in History and Memory. In this seminar, Wayne State University students will be developing a base level of knowledge about Detroit’s Black History or building upon what they already know before researching a topic on the history and/or collective memory. Rather than writing papers for an audience of one (their instructor), students have the choice of presenting their findings via documentaries or online exhibits for public audiences. Class projects will be featured here.
